Position Summary:

The Manager of the Regional Children’s Centre will provide direction, supervision and support to employees

to ensure high quality mental health services are provided to children/youth and their families. The incumbent will ensure that services meet quality as mandated by the Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare board and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.

Qualifications:

·         Progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting

·         Ability to develop and implement policy and programs for children, youth and families

·         Commitment to work within a collaborative team based approach

·         Excellent organizational, time management, planning and project management skills

·         Experienced in the area of children's mental health, family systems and ecology

·         High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and reasoning

·         Skills and knowledge in program and policy development and clinical practice for children, youth and families

·         Strong communication and advocacy/mediation skills

·         Experience evaluating clinical practice of employees

·         Knowledge of Trauma Focused CBT, Collaborative Problem Solving, Conscious Discipline, Attachment, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and similar modalities

Education and/or Certification:

Bachelor's Degree RHPA profession, preferably clinical children’s mental health background - required

Masters Degree Related discipline - preferred
